Hotel Lučani, Guča

Hotel "Lučani" in Lučani (Guča) is new one hotel and much smaller than hotel "Zlatna truba." hotel has 2 apartments, 10 single rooms, and 14 double rooms. Other facilities are Olympic pool, and many sport playgrounds. Hotel is ideal for organization of seminars, and sport tourism.

The village of Gucha in the Dragačevo district, peaceful and colorful part of western Serbia, has gained world fame owing to its Assembly of Trumpet Players, the largest trumpet event on the planet.

The love of the people of Dragačevo for music, especially for the trumpet, began in the rule of Prince Miloš Obrenović, who ordered the formation of the first military band in 1831.

From then until now the trumpet has reigned here uninterrupted while woodwind instruments, in keeping with the customs, warm the soul of its population. The sound of the trumpet traditionally accompanies every major event in Serbia's rural and small-town life: births, baptisms, weddings, Slav {family patron saint day}, farewell parties for those joining military service, state and church festivals, harvesting, reaping, and also departing this world. Appropriate music is played on these occasions, thus preserving the spirit of the existing tradition.

The music is very diverse: from indigenous melodies, via kolo {a fast-rhythm chain dance}, marches and characteristic southern Serbia čoček dances, all the way to tunes that have emerged more recently, but always taking care to honor old harmonies. This music has won over the hearts of not only the local population, but has also warmed the hearts of outsiders and foreigners. In the several days of the Gucha festival, hardly anyone can resist giving themselves to the adrenalin-rushing rhythms and melodies that simply force one to jump to ones feet and dance.

We organize private accommodation in our hotel with one meal per day per person for Guča Trumpet Festival. For all our guests we make transfer from Belgrade airport to Guča, or from city Čačak to Guča.

Sanja Ilić & Balkanika, Guča

Sanja Ilić & Balkanika are a Serbian band. They play traditional music from the Balkans combined with modern elements. Their opus comprises old music tunes from the Balkans with splendid musicians playing traditional instruments, performing music which conjures the atmosphere of the Balkans region, in a new attire for the new millennium.

Aleksandar-Sanja Ilić is one of the most famous composers of pop and rock music of former Yugoslavia, and, nowadays - Serbia. His career started in the band San in Belgrade. He has composed songs for almost all major singers. Many of his compositions won the title "The Hit of the Year". He has won many awards at festivals in former Yugoslavia.

With the band Aska, he participated at the Euro-vision Song Contest 1982, held in Harrogate, United Kingdom. Their song, "Halo, halo" ("Hello, Hello"), ended 14th, being awarded with 21 points.

Sanja Ilić writes music for theater  film and television, and his instrumental music "Delta Project" is the all-time most frequently broadcast and best selling project of instrumental music in former Yugoslavia.

Writing music scores for theater performances also brought songs which have become very popular and have outlived the performances for which they had been written, as, for instance, "Plava ptica" ("The Blue Bird"). Sanja has also worked with actors who sing, and has made a significant opus in that field. Each year at the Herceg Novi Music Festival (Montenegro), the first evening of the festival is reserved for actors. This musical spectacle is designed by Sanja Ilić. In April 1999, during the bombardment of Serbia, he composed the song "Moj grad još peva..." ("My City is Still Singing..."), referring to Belgrade. The performing artists were the very actors who had for years been cooperating with Sanja. Recently, he has been obsessed with ethnic music of the Balkans, which resulted in his writing the original music for the BALKAN 2000 project.
